  I had the twin lobster special. Two 1 pound ish lobsters which were cooked pretty good and tasted as good lobster should. Nobody in my party of 8 had any complaints like some other reviews had. They have a boat filled with lobster you can pick for market price. I've always wanted to do that but still have not. The kids meal comes in a pail with a shovel so the kids can use it at the beach.

  My wife and I stayed at a local motel and got a boiled lobster dinner voucher to the Lobster Shanty as part of the package. When i got to the restaurant, I asked what came with the $20.95 baked scallops and was told "potato and veggie". Okay, so I chose to use the $20 value of the lobster for baked scallops instead. Seven of them to be exact, with a baked potato, a slice of tomato, and a tiny piece of romaine lettuce, all on a paper plate. I'm not looking for fancy, but what am I supposed to do with "veggies" that are waiting to go on a hamburger bun? I guess I was dumb to expect something like green beans or carrots. But before I could feast on this confused meal, I had to chase them for lemon wedges that were omitted on the plate and my wife was given blue cheese for her baked potato instead of sour cream. Our nonexistent server only stayed long enough to drop the plates (mixing them up) and the ran away to continue flipping through the TV stations at the bar. The bathroom toilet and sink didn't work either which made me worry about what was going on behind the scenes . Moral of the story: if one lobster place is mostly empty when another down the road is packed to excess (Moby Dick's), it's probably a better idea. Skip this place when you're on Cape Cod.
